Star Wars Funday Football Is Coming for the Super Bowl
Super Bowl LXI set in the Star Wars galaxy and featuring characters from across the Lucasfilm franchise
ESPN will redraw every play of Super Bowl LXI as a Star Wars cartoon, in real time, using player tracking data. Anthony Daniels is back as C-3PO. The Toy Story version won Emmys, so I’ll stop short of calling it a gimmick, but it really feels like we are in the age of "fuck it, why not?"
Here in the UK, we get it on demand on Disney+ shortly after the game, not live. I’ll probably watch ten minutes of it.
