Dune (2021)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½

“Dreams can make good stories, but everything important happens when we’re awake.”

This is such a good movie but can it be a great movie if it doesn’t have a proper ending? Especially when it closes with a line as cheesy as: “This is only the beginning.”

Villeneuve has pulled off a masterclass in wrangling an unwieldy novel onto the screen. I’m looking forward to seeing if he can stick the landing in December.
